June 17-21

June 17 – Ann Marie was out of the lab today, so I spent time learning some basic coding. I used the website http://cli.learncodethehardway.org/book/.

June 19 – I was only in lab for a few hours today. I reviewed various parts of Igor’s thesis (mostly the sections describing the collimator). I also downloaded Python, and starting reading a tutorial on it.

June 20 – I spent more time learning basic Python skills. I was given the job of working with the cooling system for the computers in 403; I reviewed some basic fluid dynamics and thermodynamics to prepare for this.
