This month was spent soldering the various circuit boards for the microscope electronics. I started by soldering the Eurocards for the Bias Control Boards. For some reason, I was never quite able to get the hang of them with my solder ranging from not all the way up the pin and through the board, to the solder climbing way up the pin and clumping well above the board. Eventually I finished all of the Eurocards, although not as neatly as I would have liked.

After I finished up with the Digital Boards, I moved onto soldering the non-grounded pins of the Eurocards on the Preamps. Alex dealt with the grounded pins himself because they required extra effort, but I finished all of the other pins in a few days.

I then moved onto finishing up the Pulse Generators that I worked on a while ago. I attached the last few parts and when I plugged them into the oscilloscope to test them none of my boards had a signal. I have been trying to diagnose the problem for about a day now and I have found a few problem areas, but so far do not have any ideas about how to fix them. My notes on the diagnostics are here.
