My work this summer has been mostly on the following projects:

  • Preliminary ethanol fiber tests
  • Learning various software via tutorials (LabView, MATLAB, AutoCAD, TurboCAD)
  • Learning how to machine components
  • Converting 3D models of microscope components into 2D drawings for machining
  • Learning how to paint fibers
