Radphi Video Conference 4/15/03
April 15, 2003
University of Connecticut
Storrs, CT
Meeting Agenda:
- Review of items circulated since last meeting
- Production of benchmark samples - UConn
- Certification of standard N-gamma reconstruction - W&M
- Progress on pwa - Indiana
- Progress on BGV reconstruction - Indiana
- Plans for another workfest
Present: R. Jones, M. Kornicer, D. Steiner, D. Armstrong,
S. Teige, D. Kropi, Theresa Conway , E. Smith
Update from last call:
- D. Black seems to be working with qqbar resonance model
with the σ, K, a0, f0.
- D. Stainer has released pass0 constants, R. Jones will put
them into the map and certify a new make_hits that uses the new
constants.
- D. Krop has new plots on his web page, will show them later.
M. Kornicer: Benchmark samples
- link at
http://zeus.phys.uconn.edu/~kornicer/radphi/LGDresolution/#q4.
- Has made progress on getting a clean ω sample by a
minimum photon E cut of 150 MeV.
- Has made good progress on getting a clean η->3π°
sample by selection how many π°'s were found in the combinatorics:
it seems that η->3π° have a signature that n>3 pairs
can be found that form a π° mass.
- Extraction of LGD resolution will be obtained from 2γ mass
distributions (π°, η) by a method described on the web at
http://zeus.phys.uconn.edu/~kornicer/radphi/LGDresolution/res_2g/index.html.
We have been looking at anomalous peak in low mass region in
m(2γ) < m(π°). D. Armstrong suggested seeing a CPV
cut reduces this peak. Elton suggests reconstructing γp->
pρ(π+π-) and seeing of that might reproduce this effect.
M.K plans to have a result for energy resolution in the LGD by the
next conference call.
Dan Steiner: Nγ reconstruction
- D. Stainer has produced his own sample of π°, η in
2γ, ω in 3γ, and η in 6γ. There all look
much cleaner than Mihajlo's. The reasons are not clear at this point.
and need to be understood. D. Stainer agrees that the pixel cut does
not do much to improve the signal/background.
Dan Krop: PWA progress
- To find ambiguities he is going to do the fit with
a large number of starting points and hope to find all of the solutions.
T. Conway: BGV reconstruction
Work-fest: suggested dates for next work-fest are
June 3-4 2003, (Tues - Wed)
Next meeting: Tuesday April 29 2003, 9:30-11:00.
