May 14 - Received training for putting fibers into the darkbox for testing. (3 hours)

May 15 - Tested fibers in the darkbox. (5 hours)

May 28-30 - Travelled to Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS) with Dr. Jones, Brendan, Alex and Nathan!

June 4 - Aaron and I prepared Bundle U for bending. We placed the fibers in the bending unit and filled the tank for Ann Marie to bend this week. After Aaron left, I worked on eliminating any air bubbles in the system. I had a big of a problem with this. I ran the labview program multiple times and it kept overheating within minutes. After multiple attempts, I found that I had left valve 3 open which leads back to the faucet. Once I closed this valve, the labview program ran much smoother. I ran the program for 25 minutes before being assured that it was running okay. After that I spent some time with Dr. Jones and he taught me about the electronics that are being implemented to stabilize the pulser. (8.75 hrs)

June 5 - Started the day by filing for my travel reimbursement from CHESS. Dawn and Brendan helped a lot! Then Ben and I constructed a new box to hold bundle trays and cut the edge so that it's small enough to fit through standard doors. We couldn't make another bundle tray because the last piece of Styrofoam is too small. (8 hrs)
