Hall D main room

  • The collimated first enters the main room of Hall D from the left wall.

  • The beam travels from left to right. I couldn't take a closer picture because I was not qualified to enter due to radiation from the green blocks.

  • BCAL electronics.

  • Upstream view of the BCAL. The liquid hydrogen target will be placed within the BCAL during data acquisition.

  • Another view of the BCAL.

  • Downstream view of the FCAL. There are a few pics of its interior below.

Inside the Forward Calorimeter

  • Only red light is used inside; the equipment is very sensitive to light!
