I learned how to polish fibers, starting with scintillating fibers. Later I polished light guides while holding them so that they would not droop to the floor.

I cleaned fibers with damp lint-free rags.

Ann Marie showed me how to straighten the fibers. I wrote a description of the procedure for straightening the fibers and put it on the wiki.

I measured light guides at five places along the length of each fiber, both ways.

At the end of the month, I swept rooms 403 and 405.
