May 14 - Received training for putting fibers into the darkbox for testing. (3 hours)

May 15 - Tested fibers in the darkbox. (5 hours)

May 28-30 - Travelled to Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS) with Dr. Jones, Brendan, Alex and Nathan!

June 4 - Aaron and I prepared Bundle U for bending. We placed the fibers in the bending unit and filled the tank for Ann Marie to bend this week. After Aaron left, I worked on eliminating any air bubbles in the system. I had a big of a problem with this. I ran the labview program multiple times and it kept overheating within minutes. After multiple attempts, I found that I had left valve 3 open which leads back to the faucet. Once I closed this valve, the labview program ran much smoother. I ran the program for 25 minutes before being assured that it was running okay. I then constructed a new box and a new tray for the last few bundles.
