The GlueX experiment requires the use of a diamond radiator to produce a photon beam. UCONN has recently acquired several diamond samples from Sinmat and Element 6 to perform a qualifying test in order to see if any of these diamonds will meet our stringent requirements.
In May of 2011 the diamonds are being brought to Cornell University for testing at CHESS. This page shows the equipment which will be used to mount the diamonds for this testing.
