July 24 – Using the new information I was given from the meeting, I worked on the pipe project some more. The calculations I am doing now seem to point to purchasing a different heat exchanger, as the one we have seems too powerful for the job at hand.

July 25 - I started taking apart the active collimator today. I am able to take off the ashtray by unscrewing four 3/32’’ hex screws. The ashtray has to be aligned with the coffee cup such that the inscribed “B” on the faceplate aligns with the “o” on the ashtray. Upon opening the collimator, I noticed that the larger wedge closest to the “B” was missing several pins.

July 26 - Dr. Jones has asked me to write a document containing all of the pertinent information from my analysis on the server pipe project. This will be used to prove our labs’ knowledge of pipe circuitry in order to have an external cool water line installed. The high school students’ presentation was also today. Upon returning, I replaced the broken wedge with another wedge from the FSU repository. I used a 5/64’’ hex key to remove it. I placed the broken wedge in the repository and marked it with a “J.” I then spent the rest of the day on the pipe document.
