Radphi Video Conference 9/27/02
September 27, 2002
University of Connecticut
Storrs, CT
Present: C. Steffen, R. Jones, M. Kornicer, D. Stainer, S. Teige,
D. Armstrong, D. Krop.
Elton:
- Storage in the physics building at Jlab.
There are a lot of electronics storage there from E852 -
need to ask Paul Smith. The old RPD can be salvaged. The transporter
can also be junked or set aside. The barrel detector and glass blocks
themselves should be kept in controlled storage.
S. Teige:
- Still working on NIM paper - now on 12 pages or so.
Not asking for any new inputs.
D. Krop:
- Still working on the fitter 2pi0 - will do it on his laptop.
In the mass independent fit he has a couple thousand events.
D. Stainer:

- Dan is working on the pass0 timing constants. To cut down accidentals,
he limits himself to 50 ns window around the trigger in the CPV and tagger
before he plots the difference.
- He has seen some tdc double-peaks in BSD channels for certain
run periods. There is also a funny background under the tdc peak
in channel D8, seems that the coincidence rate is much lower than D7,
for example. The timing vs. CPV28 may not give the optimum resolution
within BSD inter-layer timing. We will use CPV28 to do tagger, BGV, and
think if we can do better on BSD. Dave suggests a document summarizing
what channels/runs had anomalous behavior.
M. Kornicer:
-
bad blocks.
- Searching for hot blocks and cold blocks. We need a hit-string technique
to find block that are always on. New values are already in the map now.
