Radphi Conference Call 5/31/02
May 31, 2002
University of Connecticut
Storrs, CT
Present: Scott, Dan K., Phil Rubin, R. Jones, M. Kornicer, Dan S.
Dan S.:
- Looks like there is a basic problem in the 3gamma reconstruction
code he is using. His 3gamma
spectra
do not show a clear w -> 3gamma in pi0 or eta final states.
Dan K.:
- now generated theta* and phi* (GJ)
distributions do look
uniform, as expected. The t-acceptance now dips towards t=0,
as it should. They did a study of recoil reconstruction and found
that finding the full forward energy seems to correspond to events where
the reconstructed recoil direction is parallel to recoil proton track.
They will redo this to take the nuclear target recoil into account.
M. Kornicer:
- progress report at usual
PSF web site.
- it is found that criteria for accepting data points to fit
(block energy > threshold) is not correct. Fitter has not been taking
into account blocks with zero energy close to the block with maximum energy.
This can lead fitter to non-physical
fit parameters, since these blocks are important for finding the function
shape and position.
Next meeting:
- still planned for 6/28-6/29 at W&M.
