Radphi Conference Call 5/03/02
May 3, 2002
University of Connecticut
Storrs, CT
Present: S. Teige, Dan K., Craig, E. Smith, Dan S., R. Jones, M. Kornicer.
Craig:
- 12 tubes have arrived at UI (out of 24 XP2020 with bases). The
other 12 are still at Jlab, and Elton is trying to locate them.
Dan S.:
- shows a clear reduction in
cluster multiplicity . Plan:
- look for signal in 5,6 gamma events with and without cluster reclaim:
look for b1 in 5gamma, and eta->3pi0 in 6gamma.
- try Craig's cuts if it is difficult to see the signal without these cuts.
Dan K.:
- shows
recoil comparison. Has to check with Monte Carlo why the peak around
1 is so broad. Will fix cosTheta* calculation, currently unreliable?
Also check:
- acceptance corrected mass plot looks differently when recoil
reconstruction is included, than the one shown during previous conference
call. It is not clear why 2pi0 mass is flat above f0(975) region,
and increases below 0.6 GeV.
- t-acceptance increases toward zero, while we expect at least
to fall down, if it is not 0 at zero-momentum transfer.
- phi acceptance asymmetry and hump in the acceptance corrected
phi distribution has to be examined.
M. Kornicer:
- fitter is almost done. He is testing with Monte Carlo using single
Gaussian fit
(E=3.0 GeV Theta=15, Phi=35, 100 photons). Will check errors, currently
using 8% of the block energy, and more plausible function such as two
Gaussians.
Next meeting:
- still planned for 6/28-6/29 at W&M.
